The Barefoot Man! The singer wrote a new song about it!

The Barefoot Man who performs every year at Nippers in Great Guana Cay has come out with a 'Barefoot Bandit Song'.

The Barefoot Man is set to perform at Nippers in Great Guana Cay, Bahamas on July 23rd and 24th. From the Cayman Islands, Barefoot (real name: George Nowak) has been entertaining crowds for decades with his rum-soaked, tongue-in-cheek, Caribbean island style, that pokes fun at current events as well as tourist antics at the beach-side bars he plays at.

Though gossip is bountiful in the islands - It has been reported that the reason Colton Harris Moore (The Barefoot Bandit) chose The Abaco Islands as his initial escape route from the USA is because he was a huge Barefoot Man fan. The Barefoot Man and his Band perform annually on the Island of Guana Cay in Abaco. It seems the Barefoot Bandits initial plan was to hide out until the concert days which are to be held on the 23rd and 24th of July , when he’d planned to attend the event and could easily have concealed himself in the massive crowd of merry makers.
He admits his capture was inevitable, however he wanted to fulfill his final dream before being locked away, and that was to get an autographed CD of his idol - the Barefoot Man.
